Mikey's mother turned too, to hear the source of the scream. "That girl! It's Jon's friend. Something's wrong with her!" She told Mikey to go inside the house while she tried to help Karyn. "Oh my god" she said, when she realized that Karyn was about to give birth.
She helped Karyn into the house and called up Karyn's father, who happened to be a doctor. She couldn't tell him what was happening other than 'There's a girl giving birth here!' but he was glad to come over and do what he could.
Mikey went back to his room. Now, he had messed that one up. Maybe he could steal Jon's stone again and get rid of the evidence. Maybe he could do something else, but what?
A car pulled into the driveway while Mikey made himself unnoticed, and someone came in. Then Mikey heard yelling. He didn't exit his room at first, but finally his curiosity got the better of him.
Mikey walked out into the living room to hear Karyn's father say "I don't know how this happened, but it's a girl. Karyn's a mother now..." He held up the baby and slapped it. It let out its first yell.
Mikey thought. Hmm, the baby was a girl, right? He pointed at the baby and said "I want you to be...."
