"Be Sarah again," said Mikey, looking at the fire hydrant. At that same moment, Mikey's mother began to cry. Mikey turned away from the changing hydrant, looked at Karyn and his mother and meant to ask "Can you feed Mom?" but what same out was "You can feed Mom."
Before Mikey could say another work, he was kicked in his bottom so hard by a barefoot, he went flying nearly three feet. When he landed, his head struck a rock in the yard, and he lay there, stunned.
"What was that for?" said Karyn, facing the again-human, but now-naked, Sarah.
"Don't be so stupid, bitch!" said Sarah. "That little bastard changed you enough times for you to understand what I just did! And while he was playing with you, I had a dog come up and whiz on me! So he had that kick coming, from both of us! Now, give me back my clothes!"
"But he's not getting up! You may have seriously hurt him!"
"Then I did everyone a favor! Now give me back my clothing!"
At that moment, a police car turned the corner. Immediately, it stopped and an officer got out and approached the girls.
"What's going on here?" asked the policewoman, Officer Thompson, who was looking wide-eyed at Sarah.
"This bitch is wearing my outfit and I'm going to get it back!" said Sarah.
"Did she take them off of you?"
"Yes! When I was a fire hydrant!"
Officer Thompson stared even harder at Sarah.
"That little brat there," said Sarah, "turned me into a fire hydrant. He might've done even worse if I hadn't kicked him into that rock!"
The policewoman looked at Karyn.
"That's right, officer," said Karyn. "She kicked that little boy hard, and, when he landed, he hit his head against the rock."
Thompson knelt over Mikey and examined him carefully. Then, she grabbed her radio and called for an ambulance. Then, she walked over to Sarah. "M'am, I'm going to have to place you under arrest for public indecency and assault on a minor."
"It was self-defense!" cried Sarah. "That little brat might've turned me into a june bug if I hadn't kicked him!"
"And whose baby is that?"
"Um," began Karyn.
"That's the mother of the kid," said Sarah. "He turned her into a baby! I heard it all while I was a fire hydrant!"
Thompson looked from Sarah to Karyn, who just shrugged her shoulders.
"Karyn! Tell her! Tell her how that brat turned you into a drinking fountain, then a statue, and then a mermaid!"
With-in minutes, two vehicles from the city hospital arrived. One took Mikey, and the other took Sarah to the mental ward.
Karyn picked up Baby Debbie, who began to cry again. After Karyn carried her in, she loosened her bra. She had felt herself begin to fill with milk when Mikey had said "You can feed Mom" earlier. But she'd had no time to act on it until after the police had come.
"Karyn!" said Jon, who came into the kitchen with her. "What was all that commotion outside? And where'd the baby come from?"
"Turn away while I nurse it," said Karyn. "And I'll explain to you."
At the hospital, some time later, a small boy awakened in a bed with a large bruise on his head. A nurse was standing by the bed and said "Hello. How are you feeling, Mikey?"
"Who's Mikey?" asked the boy.
