“A baby?!” Jon exclaims. He then facepalms. “Two birds with one stone, I guess.”
Karyn is just puzzled, “Uh, what was that?”
He shrugs, “Eh, just some being I wished into existence.”
“Oh, that’s…” Karyn is momentarily caught up in the normality of Jon’s tone. “YOU WHAT?!”
He continues in an indifferent tone. “It kind of asked me to help it learn what makes thing interesting. I told it not to trust my word and it got you involved.” He looks a bit apologetic. “Sorry.”
“Uh, n-no. It’s okay, Jon.” Karyn felt bad about snapping like that, “It’s just, what are we supposed to do about a baby? And how is that even a gift?”
The gift of life is the most cherished thing in the world. It is also a way in which I can learn how to best keep thing interesting per Jon’s wish. If it is too much, I can change what life to give.
Karyn shakes her head at the strange voice inside it. “That’s no it, I just don’t know how to take care of them. I’m afraid I’ll let you down.”
Jon smiles, “That might be interesting in its own right, but let’s not let that happen.” He walks over to Karyn and looks at the baby in her arms, “First we should name him. Give him an interesting name to start things off strong.”
Karyn thinks for a moment, “How about…”
