I went through all sorts of combinations of races, genders and characteristics, just to see the full extent of Ether. It amazed me just what sort of traits you could get that I had to stop after about the fifteenth iteration. I was getting completely overwhelmed and new I had probably spent about an hour just trying to figure out what I was going to be. Realizing that I should probably not keep Suzie waiting too long, I looked at the bottom of the screen and noticed a preset option box. I scrolled through it and found a strange program labeled ‘Iridescent’ with a big warning icon attached to it. Curiosity told hold of me and I selected it. Immediately the warning box hovered in front of the character creation screen.
WARNING!
This program is still in it’s experimental stages and has yet to be fully fleshed out. Users may experience many discomforts using this preset program, so we only advise you absolutely use it if you wish to make your avatars more interesting than is available. This will bypass any character created and will create something based on your mental psyche. Being in an open beta phase, we ask that all users take the appropriate consideration before using this function. We appreciate those willing to participate, but ask that you proceed with caution as there is a small risk of brain damage upon the first character creation with this feature. Thank you for your understanding.
I stared wide eyed at the warning, not because of the danger. No, there was something far more appealing that caught my eye. That this whole program could create something based of my psyche. How was that even possible? It seemed so surreal even with technology like this. I was never someone who could easily avoid his own curiosity, as such, despite the risk, I took the leap of faith and clicked through the warning to see what character it would create. Another message popped up in place of the warning.
You character will be created upon entering Epic City.

Proceed?
Having no doubt in my mind, I entered Ether with only one goal in mind: To see just how interesting things could get.
