Crystal was confused to say the least. David had just stuck his head in her bedroom door, and it looked like he was wearing makeup. And he had just called her "roomie." And he hadn't said a word about how dramatically the apartment had changed.
"Crystal?" David said as a concerned look crossed his face. "You okay?" As he said that, David entered the bedroom, and Crystal got another shock. He was wearing a lacy white sleeveless blouse with black trim, which was tucked into a black skirt that ended just above his knees. He was wearing a very stylish pair of two-tone black and white peep-toe pumps. Crystal recognized the outfit, because she owned one just like it. Suddenly she felt weak in the knees.
David rushed over to catch her, not missing a step in his four inch heels. He guided her over to the bed and the two sat down.
"Crystal what's wrong? Are you feeling okay?" Crystal was starting to pull everything together, remembering that there was powerful magic at work.
"I'll be okay," she said, "I just had a long day at work."
"Well, if you're sure you're okay. Why don't you lay down for a minute, I have to get out of my work clothes anyway." David walked out of the room, and Crystal could only stare at the strange sight of David swaying his hips as he exited. Crystal had realized something else that was odd about David's behavior. Sure, he had comforted her, helped her out when she was distressed. But he was treating her like a best friend, not a lover. She pulled the stone from her purse, trying to process everything that was going on.
