"I can't believe we ended up like this," said Sarah. Then she ignored Karyn and went about looking through her own things.
Eventually she found a small TV set in a bottom box and hefted it onto a table.
"Wait a minute," said Karyn. "I might want to use that table."
"I'm not exactly covering the whole thing," said Sarah. "You can use the rest." Which was true, except that where she put it Karyn would probably be in the way if she wanted to use the table while Sarah was watching TV.
Sarah took out a few more things and then began unpacking her clothes. There were a lot. Karyn didn't feel with arrguing about Sarah's use of closet space. If Sarah used too much she'd just have to make the space herself.
Annoyed by Sarah though Sarah hadn't really done all that much that was hostile, Karyn considered wishing some kind of misfortune. But then she thought, she was at college now. She was supposed to be more mature. That's why the stone reappeared, anyway--she should know better than to pull pranks.
