“So who am I?” they asked themself “I’m not Karyn, but I’m not Jon. Kar-on? No...Ka-on? Uh-uh...K-on? Kon...Con! Conner, yeah that sounds like a nice name.”
Conner, as they now thought of themself, picked up the stone thoughtfully. “I wish that until I reset the merge, I’ll be the eldest child in the Gibson family, Conner.” They smiled and slipped the stone into their pocket. “There, now I can try out this merge without worrying about explaining where Jon and Karyn are or who I am.”
Curious about their merged life, they pulled out their phone, which was somehow a fusion of Jon’s iPhone and Karyn’s Samsung, and checked Facebook. They quickly gathered that they’d been raised as a boy, hence the masculine name, until they’d hit puberty and started developing female traits. They’d embraced the changes, but hadn’t forgotten about their male side and considered themself both, with how much of either they presented as being however they felt each morning, sometimes like now being feminine and others wearing a binder to contain their breasts and tying their hair back into a more masculine style.
Happy with this setup, they picked up the gun and decided who to merge next.
