"Sorry!" laughed Jon, "I'll fix it for you. I wish I was a foot taller.'"
Karyn expected another sudden burst of growth, but nothing happened.
"That's weird," said Jon, "It doesn't make any sense."
"Don't you see?" said Karyn, "It does. You can't undo wishes."
"But you were just wished bigger and I was able to wish you smaller."
"But the wish itself wasn't for that. The wish was that YOU'D be smaller. The necklace just affected me and it can't undo that."
"So wait," said Jon, scratching his head, "I can't make you bigger because I wished you smaller?"
"But someone else could," she said, "They could do it for themselves and it would affect me. I think."
"So I'm, like, cancelled out now? I can't say, 'I wish I bigger' or 'I wish I was smaller'?"
"No!" Karyn shrieked, gaining pitch as she lost another foot and she grabbed desperately at her clothes, tenting around her.
"Shit, I'm sorry," said Jon.
Karyn was roughly three feet tall now and, if not for her figure, would look like a small child.
"Damn it, Jon," she squeaked, "You can still make me smaller because it doesn't undo the last wish. Now we need to find someone to fix this."
