Karyn and Jon looked at each other with a frowning expression.
"Um about 50 bucks," Karyn said sheepishly.
The old man nodded, "well I can find lots of costumes in that price range."
Jon looked uncomfortable and stared at the floor, "Um thats between the both of us sir."
The old man knitted his brow. "Ah well that does limit things. I'm afriad all of the complete costumes are a bit more than your individual budgets." Karyn seemed to deflate a little as she looked whistfully at the black leather outfit she had in her hands. "However, with a little creativity and the right accessories you make an extradorinary costums. And I happen to have some wonderful accessories," He smiled.
Jon and Karyn brightened. The old man lead them to box in the corner and opened the top. In it lay several items, "Everything here is about 20 but I believe were having a special sale today, Buy two items from this box and get the third half off."
"That sounds like an excellent deal," Karyn said with barely contianed glee. There was something very special about this place and the things in it. It reminded her of something but she wasn't sure what.
"Lets start with the essentials shall we?" The old man lifted a small rectangular case out of the box. "This your basic make up kit, it will make any accessory a complete costume," The old man's eyes seemed to sparkle when he said "complete." He hands the case to Karyn. "It comes with instructions for both application and removal." He turns back to the box. "So lets see what else we have in here. Let start with the classics. The deluxe black cat kit. " He presents a box and opens it, reveiling a long black tail curled around a pair of black cat ears. Both looked so realistic that they might have been chopped off an huge black cat. He closed the box and set it on the counter.
"Next we have the satyr set" He pulled out a bag and displayed the contents. Two small horns sat next to a pair furry boots that ended in cloven hooves. They gleamed in the light.
"If you want more flexiblity here is your general monster set Fangs, claws and pointed ears. Depending on the makeup you could do a werewolf or a vampire with it."
"Ooo here's a new item, a unicorn horn and matching hoof boots. The gentleman could be the lady's noble steed." Karyn giggle and Jon blushes.
"Or if innocence isn't your style a pair of bat wings and cute little horns raise more naughty possiblities."
"Speaking of wings... We have feathered and reptile varity."
"See anything you like? Or shall I go on?"
