Karyn was stunned at Jon's apparent change after using the device. Sure, it wasn't anything major, and it only lasted a few seconds, but she only had it set to 1%.
Maybe I should see what more this thing can do, Karyn thought to herself.
Jon had walked over to the window of EB games (he was staring at the poster for the newest game that wasn't even out yet), and he had his back to her. Karyn glanced around the crowded mall for a new target.
At that moment, she spotted a young, slightly attractive looking mother, probably in her early 30s. She looked like a typical soccer mom, but a bit more attractive, wearing a purple top and khaki capri pants. She held her daughters hand, guiding her through the mall. Perfect, Karyn thought. She pointed the remote at the woman and pressed the green button, downloading a copy of her mind. She then turned the dial to 65% and proceeded to point the remote at Jon, then press the red button. Jon looked dizzy for a moment, then turned around, giving Karyn just enough time to stash the remote in her purse.
"Jon are you okay?"
