Karyn turned the hourglass upside down again and waited a few minutes for all the sand to fall to the bottom. Once it did, she immediately looked around to see if everyone was moving again.
They weren't. Everyone was still frozen.
"Why didn't it work?"
Now she was panicking even more. The world had stopped and she couldn't make it start going again.
