"Um, yeah," Jon said. "I was just, uh - ooh, that's a pretty blouse!"
"That's our latest arrival," the saleswoman (who, according to her tag, was "Linda") said, showing Jon the dress. It was a light blue, with multi-colored spangles running down the sides and puffy chiffon-like sleeves. "Would you like to try it on?"
"Oh wow, that'd be so neat!"
"OK, what size are you?"
"Ummm - like, I'm not sure?"
Linda blinked. "You're not - well, turn around sweetie, and I'll see what size shirt you're wearing now."
"Oh, OK. Wow, you're smart and stuff."
Linda managed to locating the correct siza blouse for Jon who eagerly headed for the dressing room. On the way there, though, she remembered what she'd come in for in the first place. "Um, oh yeah, I was gonna ask, uh, like, what is this place?"
"This is Avonlea," the other saleswoman (whose tag read "Betty") said, "We've just moved here from downtown."
"Oh." Jon started off, then stopped again. "But, um, what mall is this and stuff?"
Linda smiled again. "Why, it's North Mall, dear."
"Oh, OK. Like, thanks!" Jon beamed. She headed into the dressing room, repeating over and over again "North Mall. North Mall." so she wouldn't forget while she tried on this pretty blouse she'd found.
