Scott's parents had watched as their son once again turn into a very pregnant version of his mother. They were concerned when he stopped responding to his aunts directions about when to push and this labor was significantly harder than the first one they'd witnessed the day before.
The baby seemed healthy enough when he was born but the person that they thought was their son, but actually had the mind of a baby and the body of a recently pregnant woman, was acting very strange. She lay there crying and wouldn't respond to anyone. After a while she stopped crying as just lay still a blank expression on her face.
They moved the woman to Scott's room and lay her on the bed. She didn't respond at all. The next afternoon the used the medallion to change her back into Scott's original body hoping that returning to his original body would help bring their son back, but nothing really changed.
By the next day, when 'Scott' had shown no signs of improvement, the took him into the hospital. The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. He seemed perfectly healthy. It seemed like he was awake most of the time, but there was never any response to stimuli. He was admitted to the Psychiatric ward where he spent several weeks before being transferred to a special long term care facility that dealt with coma patients.
Though they didn't know it the pain of giving birth had been too much for the undeveloped mind of the baby. It had broken and wasn't likely to ever recover.
