Karyn didn't think herself to be much of a girly-girl, but she did have her moments (such as at the mall earlier that day). However, she didn't have any close girl friends who she could really hang out with and be herself. If Jon was a girl, it might be kind of fun. They could be friends without the awkward possible romance.
Karyn excused herself to go to the bathroom. Once she was alone, she said, "If I say 'change', Jon will slowly transform into a girl and will continually become more feminine until I say 'stop'. If I say 'revert', Jon will slowly transform back to the way he is now until I say 'stop'." This way, Karyn could choose exactly the way Jon would turnout and test different levels of femininity and a way for her to change him back. She took a deep breath and said, "Change." She wondered how long it would take him to notice and how he'll react.
