"Okay," Karyn said. "You're wearing a hat."
Suddenly, a hat appeared on Jon. "Woah," he said, "it works. What you said became the truth. Quick, say I have a $100 dollar bill in my pocket."
"You have a $100 dollar bill in your pocket," Karyn repeated.
Jon reached into his pocket and pulled out a $100 bill. His eyes brightened up. "You know what this means? ANYTHING you say will come true. You can do anything you want. So, um, what do you want to do?"
Karyn paused for a moment. She opened her mouth, then closed it. Finally, she said, "I don't know. It's kind of scary. What if I say something wrong by accident?"
"You worry too much," Jon said. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her along. "Let's go have some fun."
"I guess shopping could be fun," Karyn said. "Hey, I just got an idea. My purse will always have at least $100 dollars in it, no matter how much I take out. Now, we don't have to worry about money."
