"Are you okay?" said Scott's mother.

"I don't know," said Scott. He picked himself up. "The medallion, it touched those slippers. I feel myself changing... but the only thing that's changing is my insides. Not my height, or my hair, or my..." He hesitated before saying "sex organs" in front of his parents. "I know what it's doing, I have to stop this!"

Scott reached for the chain, to take it off his neck.

"Don't take that off," said Aunt Sharon.

"What?"

"If you take off the medallion now, you'll be a little bit changed. You're changing into a pregnant woman again. What does a little bit changed mean for that?"

"I don't know," said Scott. "It means I'm a little bit pregnant?"

"I can think of a lot of bad things," said Sharon. "At best it means you're pregnant, but just at an earlier stage. That doesn't do you any good compared to letting the transformation go all the way."

"Then what do I do?"

"Lie down on the plastic."

Scott did, and the transformation not only made his belly grew, but caused him to feel a little dizzy, like when he had had the gas. And then the baby came out magically--not by contractions, but as part of the transformation, until he was just like he was before when he had last worn the slippers--one push away from birth. Then it was over, and with one push, the baby was out.

"It's a boy!" said Sharon.

Scott grimaced. He knew that, of course. Soon Sharon had cut the cord and Scott had finished giving birth to himself a second time. There would be no third time; the medallion wouldn't work on him for another 12 hours. And none of his plans to change himself would work for 12 hours either, though there were always other ways to use the medallion.

Scott looked at the two babies. Same size, same eyes, everything down to the birthmark and footprints was absolutely identical. He wondered how much trouble he was to his mother when he was born and knew the answer must be 'quite a lot'. Well, he was getting payback for that now...
