"What did you do?" Jon tried to command forcefully, but it still came out laughably squeaky and girly. "You said you would change me back ..... back ... test ... test ... hey, I 'm back! How come it wasn't instantaneous? Wait, don't say anything until you take that bracelet off."
"OK, but no one can wear this bracelet but me." Karyn said as she smirked and removed the bracelet.
"Now tell me what was different. Why was there a delay?" Jon demanded, crossing his arms and looming over Karyn.
"You were so whiny; change me back, change me back, change me back. It was becoming annoying, so I simply said that your body is now changing back. Instead of an instant change, I just started the process, ... so there was a bit of a delay." Karyn smirked.
"Oh, OK. Wait a minute! I know that look. You're up to something! That smirk has always been a dead give away. What are you up to?" Jon asked with trepidation.
"I'm going to need the bracelet again." Karyn said casually.
"Oh no you don't!" Jon said snatching the bracelet up and putting it in his pocket.
"Hey, I can wait as long as you can. Come to think of it, I can wait a whole lot longer than you'll like." Karyn giggled enigmatically.
"Stop being coy, what are ..." Jon started as he paced and stumbled when his right foot slipped out of his suddenly too loose shoe.
