@Zelo well not per se missed. But Karyn can just swap anything and not tell Jon/“Zoe” about it and he would just remain unaware of it. Which leaves Karyn the choice of a lot of mischief

To be clear I don't wanna make this a regular thing, but it should be kept in mind there's nothing stopping you from writing a branch of your own if you don't like the winner of the vote! This and the next episode are stubs for the what if where things went differently.

@Matisguy That’s fair. Three questions before I cast my vote. First is he straight or lesbian if option 2 is picked? Two is he still called Jon after option 2? Three with option 1 does everyone still know that he is male while presenting as female(or femboy)?

@Endless At first I figured making him a girly girl who has to dress like one would be the appropriate worst or both worlds option, but then I realized nobody would vote for anything but that lol. Making something that's punishing for both Jon and the readers isn't as easy as it seems! Besides, why delay the inevitable?

Ngl this and the previous indecision option have been pretty meh/lackluster up until this point. Probably would have made it more of a difficult choice if you made it so he had to go in his underpants to school for the rest of his life or something like that. Cause this indecision seems more so to be a one time thing then a permanent choice that he is stuck with for the rest of his life

@Matisguy Probably would have been better if the indecision also makes it so they aren’t interested in him platonically so basically no potential or further friendship. Since that would make it a harder choice for Jon

@Perri in fairness, any of the given options could be the actual root state of things depending on the branch. Karyn could be lesbian, or into Jon, or neither, etc., and same with Sarah.

I kind of feel like the default option changes nothing. Indecision is rewarded with the exact simple stable condition that Jon wanted.

I like the premise of this chapter, seems to be taking the monkey paw effect to a more extreme case than whats usually seen in other chapters.

Reading the other comments I'm not sure what misogyny there is in this chapter, but Jon disagreeing with Karyn is not misogynistic.
