Lucy fluttered to the ground, looked once more at her wings, then said, "I'm human again." As she grew back to her former size, she briefly considered turning back into Luke- but then that could wait until the next floor. Lucy got used to walking on her shifted body weight again, then entered the Inn.

The Golem towered over her, but it lowered its arms to show it meant no harm, before dutifully moving the tables and chairs back into place. The binds that held villagers, Lucy now saw around two bandits with bruised heads. And even the bacon was off the oven, cooked to perfection.

"Good work," Lucy said, smiling at the Golem as she met its eyes. The Golem nodded in response.

"Excuse me!" The wizened wizard who was previously an impromptu footstool addressed Lucy as she picked up the key. "Young lady!"

"I'm n-" Lucy caught herself. "Yes, sir?"

"That was your doing, eh? Ether signature gives it away." The old man nodded. "You have our thanks. Were I still younger, I'd have given those dastards theirs, but I'm not as sharp as I was in my Spellcorps days."

Lucy nodded, surprised at the remark; was magic more common here, such that they had a whole "Spellcorps"? "It was no problem. I was here looking for this... That bandit King had it."

"Yes, the snake took it from me." The man said, "Suppose you're off now? Will you stay for supper? We will hold a feast in your honor!"

"It sounds delicious, but..." Lucy remembered her own village was still in squalor due to the curse. "I have a lot to do. Fare well, sir. Open sesame!"

As Lucy was whisked away to the next floor, the man's eyes grew wide. "Then, we held the key for her... To think I would see the hero in my lifetime! Suppose heroine is the word, though..."
