Sir Garrett decided it was time to man up and go shopping. Admitting she should go shopping for woman’s clothing felt a little like giving up his manhood, but that was an immature and foolish thought. She was at enough of a disadvantage with her loss of muscle mass and unfamiliar body and armor might help compensate.

“You are right Albert,” Sir Garrett sighed. “This attire will not due for a paladin and it would wise to start calling me Lady Gwen for the time being. Small towns can easily be frightened by dark magic and overreact where there is frequently no danger to them. Let us not test their understanding.”

“I understand Lady Gwen,” Albert responded.

The Rusted Shield was a well-stocked armor shop Lady Gwen had frequented in her early days of adventuring. Clanging medal could be heard over the ring of the shop bell as they entered the building. The section for female adventurers was smaller than she would have liked, but there were some fine leather armor and even some imported elven chain mail. The problem was Lady Gwen didn’t carry a great deal of money with her when she started on adventures because if you were properly equipped it just served as extra weight.

If she bought the proper armor she wanted it would leave her awfully low on funds, but she could make some extra money by selling off some of the gear that she couldn’t make much use of with her decreased strength. The extra money might be nice considering he wasn’t sure how much the cure would cost her, but if she managed to get turned back into a man soon she would once again be left with a lot of gear she couldn’t properly use. It was time to make a decision.
