The next day was a Saturday, so Jon and Karen met up at his house to decide what to do with the rock. Jon's parents were out of town for the weekend with Karen's, and his sister Zoe's band practice kept her out of the house all day, so they were guaranteed privacy.

"Hey Karen, you still interested in fixing your little problem?" Jon asked. He noticed that Karen was wearing a much tighter shirt than she normally wore, and she never wore anything that showed cleavage. Her thight black shirt had plenty of that. Karen saw Jon looking and snapped "all my clothes fit like this now. I couldn't even sleep last night because of how they felt. But it wasn't all bad."

While they talked, Jon got out two cans of cola and they sat on the couch. "What was good about it?" Jon was curious. "Well, they're a lot more sensitive, and-" Karen stopped and blushed.

"You know what? Nevermind." Jon said. He hated it when she got embaressed. It always made him feel guilty, and then Karen would make him agree to something that he reall didn't want to. Every time.

Then Karen suddenly asked where the stone was. Jon pulled it out of his pocket and showed her. "Why?" he asked. "I've got an amazing idea." Karen snatched the stone, and before Jon could react, said: "I wish we had a kareoke machine that would turn the singer into the song artist for the duration of the song."

A gleaming metal box with a small TV screen on it appeared in front of them. Jon looked at Karen quizzically. "I didn't know you liked to sing."

"Well, I don't, but only because I'm not good at it. With this, we could sing as well as we want. And it's not permanent. We change back at the end of the song." She gave him a look. "What, is that good enough for you?"

"No, no. I'm fine."

"Okay, then you go first."

"What?"

"You first. and I pick the song."

Jon walked over to the machine and plucked the microphone out of the side of it. "Fine. How do I start it?"

Karen went over and started thumbing at the scree. "Hey, it's a touch screen."

ZAP!

Jon felt weird. He felt like singing really really badly. So he did. It wasn't until a full minute had passed that he realized he was singing 'hips don't lie' by Shaqira. Than he realized he wasn't just singing like her, he WAS her. But he still couldn't stop singing.

"Wow." said Karen. The song ended, and Jon changed back. "That was really freakin' weird." he said. "what else is on here?" "why don't you go check. Then you can pick one for me." Karen tookt he microphone from Jon and he looked at the display.
