The new owner of the wishing stone was none other than Tyrone Jackson.
Now, Jon's hometown of Lake Point was predominantly made up of white middle to upper-class families. And what little of a black population there was, most of it was made up of well-off families, like Melony Tyne and her family or Allison Wright (the cheerleader) and her family, for example.
But there was still a very small amount of ne'er-do-wells within the black population and that included 21-year old Tyrone Jackson, someone who fit the black ghetto stereotype perfectly. He was even a drug pusher, one of the very few in town.
And it was just the previous night when he found the wishing stone. He was picking up stones and rocks along the road and hurling them through the windows of a nearby building, trying to cause as much of a disturbance as possible. It was then that he just happened to make a wish while holding the stone ... and his wish was granted! He had wished that the guy who owned the building would pay him his money, and suddenly the money appeared in his hand ... out of thin air!
Now, as he sat in his "crib", a small downtrodden apartment in the low-class part of town, he finally thought of something to wish for.
"Dayum," he said, smiling. "Dis is gonna be so fuckin' great." Then he made his wish. "I wish ..."
