Zoe sat on her bed the next morning staring at the dried black roses she kept on her dresser. What had gotten into her to keep them for so long? How morbid and dreary could she be? She made a mental note to stop at the florist's near the school that afternoon and pick up some daisies. Pink and white.
She smiled as she felt the warm sunshine on her back. When she had woken up the first thing she did was cross to the window and throw open the heavy dark curtains that she had hung. Dust fell as she pushed them aside, but the reward was worth it. Too long had she kept her room in the dark. This sunlight was absolutely intoxicating.
"What a lovely day," she muttered as she unconsciously unbuttoned her nightgown, exposing her cleavage to the warmth. She hoped it stayed warm and sunny all day; she was planning on taking in a bit of fresh air again after school to do her homework. She also hoped to get a chance to see the cheerleaders practicing again. They were, like, for some reason, really interesting and stuff.
The clothes she had picked that day showed a bit more skin than she was used to, but today she didn't mind. It was a beautiful sunny day and she hoped that she could get a bit of a tan. Usually she was quite elaborate in her attire, but today she opted for a black skirt, black t-shirt, and black boots. While Zoe didn't usually dress this way for school, today she thought she'd make an exception. She was in a mood for exceptions.
Florists... skirts... maybe she'd stop in at the drug store and pick up some more make-up after she got her daisies...
