Mike made his way home, cautiously glancing over his shoulder the entire time. No one was in sight. No one seemed to be following him.
He let himself inside, and made sure the door was locked. His mother was up late, at midnight. "Mike, what happened?" she asked.
"You don't want to know." he said. "Ran into some crazy people out there. Lost them, but keep the doors locked just in case."
He was too tired to explain the whole story to his mother, and he doubted she would believe him anyway. So after he armed the house's security system, he went to his room, pushed his dresser in front of the window, put an endtable in front of the door, and went to sleep.
Sleep did not come easy for Mike 'Moose' Matthews. He still was reeling from what had happened to his friends, and what he had just narrowly escaped from.
And there was the fact that as far as he knew, that psycho who made the Bimbo Water was still out there, planning on using it on more unsuspecting victims.
Finally, he did sleep, as it had been a long night and running several blocks had tired him out.
When he awoke the next morning, his first thought was that perhaps the crazy events of the previous night had been a dream. And a really ridiculous dream at that. Then he saw how he had barricaded his window and the door, and realized that no, it was not a dream.
And since it was not a dream, that meant he had to tell people about what had happened.
Almost as soon as Mike got to school, he met with many of the Jocks and Preps he usually hung out with. Sarah McMillan, head cheerleader, was there along with fellow cheerleaders Amber Levine and Melissa Smith. Also present were Biff Meadows, captain of the football team and fellow jocks Chris Morgan and Tom Welles.
Mike told the story of the events of last night. How he, Randy Goodman, and his best friend Steve 'The Stud' Farber had been invited to a late night party at a house by some sexy-sounding woman who had somehow got Steve's phone number. When they got there, they found a strange man named Jerry who led them to the backyard inground pool, where a very hot naked lady was in the pool inviting them in. Steve being Steve, he jumped right in ... and then started changing into a hot chick.
What's worse, Steve had become a total bimbo named Steph and didn't seem to remember who she was. Dr. Jerry Chance said it was part of some crazy experiment to turn anyone, male or female, into a bimbo. Randy and Mike attempted to escape, but Randy fell into the Bimbo Water pool and was turned into a bimbo named Randi.
"That's not even the worst part." Mike said. "That psycho had the bimbos tie me to a chair in the living room, and he was going to make me drink some Bimbo Water for his next experiment. He said that once he had enough bimbos, he was gonna make them put his Bimbo Water into the town's water supply and turn everyone in town into bimbos!"
"The only reason I got away is because a neighbor came by cause we made so much noise. The psycho scientist guy decided to give the neighbor guy the Bimbo Water instead, and I ran out the door and didn't stop till I was blocks away."
As the group took in Mike's story, some of them burst out laughing. "So this crazy guy turned Steve and Randy into bimbos? And he wants to turn everyone into bimbos?" Melissa said, laughing.
Chris Morgan was laughing hysterically. "So Steve 'The Stud' is ... a hot babe with big boobs? That's a good one, Moose, a good one!"
Amber Levine convulsed with laughter, and was so busy laughing she couldn't even say anything. Clearly she, too, found the whole story hilarious.
Biff glared at Mike. "Are you high?"
"No! It's true! I swear it!" Mike pleaded.
"You have GOT to be kidding." Sarah said. "There's no way this story is real. And why would some scientist turn people into bimbos anyway?"
"Because he's crazy!" Mike replied.
"I think you're the one who's crazy." Sarah replied.
"Oh yeah?" Mike said. "Then why aren't Steve and Randy here at school today? Have you even heard from them since yesterday?"
"No." Biff admitted. "And they should be here. We've got practice this afternoon."
Sarah and Biff were looking uneasy. And their friends had stopped laughing and were listening carefully.
"I don't know." Sarah said to Biff. "Maybe you should call them just so we know what's up. And if you can't reach them, call their home numbers."
Parts of this discussion had been overheard by some of the other students, including Karyn.
Karyn was wondering what was going on. Why was Mike 'Moose' Matthews telling such a wild story? Was it any of her business? She wondered if she should discuss it with Jon or just continue her day as usual.
