Sarah McMillan had just finished her first period class. Perhaps it was her, but the lesson was even more boring than usual. Some teachers she had met could actually make what they were teaching ... history, geography, math, science, or whatever ... interesting or even fascinating. Mr. Dernsley was not one of those teachers. Sarah thought the man could probably make ANYTHING boring.
She looked into her locker. She was looking forward to cheerleading practice, or meeting with Biff Meadows, or just chatting with her friends. And she needed to be sure all her stuff was there. There'd been rumors about someone breaking into people's lockers.
Much to her relief, all of her stuff was there. But there was also something ... strange. Something that definately wasn't there before.
Sarah definately would have remembered putting a strange device that looked like some bizarre ray gun out of a comic book or a cheesy science fiction into her locker. But she had never seen this strange thing before in her life.
Was someone breaking into their lockers and putting weird things in them as some sort of strange prank? It seemed crazy, but Sarah couldn't think of any other reason for this that made any sense.
