I was freed five seconds before the change happened. There wasn't enough time for me to do anything, and Karyn had made a wish keeping me from using the stone until after the encompassing wish had been granted.
5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
A light engulfed the world and when it subsided, I noticed that I was a girl and Karyn was a guy.
"I can't believe you did that, Karyn," I said, with my new girl's voice, looking down at my feminine body.
"My name's not Karyn anymore."
"It isn't?"
"No, it's Karl."
"How do you know that? Did the stone implant that name into your mind?"
"What? No. I just want to be called Karl now. You know, since I'm a guy." Karl smiled. "What's your name gonna be now?" Before I could say anything, Karl said "Oh, I know. How about Jenna? Or maybe just Jen. Yeah, Jen sounds good."
I couldn't believe what was happening. Karyn ... sorry, Karl ... was discussing new names for me when outside all across the world, men and women had changed sexes and had probably thrown the world into chaos because of it.
