A few minutes later he was downstairs in the kitchen grabbing a bowl of cereal when his freaky little sister, Zoe, walked in, dressed in full-on goth regalia. Her heavy, black skirt stopped just above the floor, concealing the combat boots she always wore. Chains criss-crossed at various places along the sides of the canvas material, held to the skirt with little padlocks that didn't look like they'd hold up to a stiff breeze. The base of her top matched in material but didn't cover her shoulders. Instead, a long-sleeve fishnet affair did.

Jon thought that her choice of clothes was odd, but was always more put off by her make-up. Her eyes were overly dark, matching black lips and a black tear-drop falling from the corner of her left eye that looked suspiciously like a tattoo.

He resisted an urge to ask if she was doing someone's birthday party but had apparently looked too long. Zoe flipped him off, her black fingernails a stark contrast to the pasty white skin of her thin fingers.

Zoe might have been pretty, if she was a couple years older, didn't dress so goofy and wasn't his sister. Jon rolled his eyes and went about his business. Then he smiled broadly at her and let slip a bark of laughter.

"What the fuck is so funny?"

"Zoe!" Their mother walked in with an unhappy expression. "I do NOT like hearing that kind of language, I don't care how tragic you think your life is."

Jon tried to play it off cool and just said, "Nothing, sorry, wasn't trying to make fun of you, sis."

"Whatever." Zoe's standard condescending reply when she didn't want to engage. Their mother seemed mollified and poured herself a cup of coffee.

Jon ignored Zoe as best he could while he ate, thinking of how to word the wish. He didn't want to make it permanent. Putting in a time limit would prevent that, but since the stone couldn't be undone he could be assured that his victim would suffer the entire time.
