Will heard the sound of muffled yelling coming through the wall from the apartment next door. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a new occurrence. His neighbors were a young couple in their late twenties and it seemed like arguing was one of the pastimes.
He was happy to hear them go quiet a few minutes later but this brief moment of silence was interrupted by several loud thuds. It sounded like something was being knocked into William’s wall with a considerable amount of force.
Will put his laptop on a table and walked into the apartment building hallway. Before he knocked on his neighbor’s door to ask what was happening, he noticed something odd about his hand. His knuckles were bigger than normal and his skin was abnormally coarse. He looked down to see that he was now wearing a dark uniform with a metallic badge prominently displayed on his breast pocket. As far as he could tell, he was now in the body of a police officer.
