Karyn held the rock and said, "I wish that there is hidden somewhere in our town, a golden prize ticket which entitled the winner of the treasure hunt that I have in mind now, to one free wish. I wish that both Jon's and my family were the contestants in this magical treasure hunt and that they all knew about it and eagerly agreed to be in it, and that everyine else in the whole town is fine with anything that happens as a result of it."
"Karyn, what are you doing?" Questioned a very confused Jon.
"Oh, just having a bit of fun," she replied, "don't worry, I have it all worked out in my head."
"I sure hope so," added Jon.
Karyn continued, "now where were we, oh yeah, magical treasure hunt. I wish that our treasure hunt is limited to the area of the town limits, and that anywhere within those bounds, the participants are subject to trigger or set off any of the unlimited number transformational traps the game sets up to make it more interesting. I wish that the game would focus most of the changes on the physical and mental TG area, but include others for the sake of interest. I wish that no one could be hurt by any of these changes but that the changes would include both participants and non-participants, and that the whole thing would be finished with a winner by the end of the January 2006 at the latest."
"And I wish that any transformations and changes would be undone at the moment someone wins the game, with everyone affected changing back to their normal selves."
"Finally, I wish that our Dads would each have the first clue to find the treasure and be busy assembling ther reast of their families to begin the hunt and that they we know all the rules of the game so we can play fair. Oh, yeah, I wish that the rock would remain safely hidden in Jon's room, until the moment the game finishes, at which time only he can gain access to it, knowing where it is exactly."
With each wish, there was the tell tale flash to indicate that it was granted. Then following the last flash, Jon found himself in his living room, along with his family while his dad was explaining about a treasure hunt they were about to go on.
Meanwhile, Karyn was experiencing much the same scene in her family's kitchen.
Both parents explained to their respective families the nature of the game and some of the pitfalls they would likely encounter. They had decided to split up to look for future clues, calling each other on cell phones and meeting back at home whenever any were found.
